Ghostbusters Attenuator Mod Proton Pack Prop Adam Savage Inspired
$215.00
Sold Out
T his is my take on the Ghostbusters Proton Pack Attenuator originally designed by Adam Savage. I have taken key elements from the original attenuator and added my own style while still paying tribute to Adam Savage's brilliant idea and fandom.
Due to increased demand and the time it takes to build these attenuators, shipping will be roughly 3-4 weeks to give me wiggle room to complete all new orders. If your attenuator is done sooner it will ship sooner.
To turn on the attenuator, flip the "Activate" switch to start the animation. This attenuator has a 10 segment LED display with 5 different aminations that can be controlled via the "Slo-Blo" push button, you must push and hold the button until the new animation starts, then let go. On the top of the attenuator, you can control the speed of the animation with the "Intensify" control knob. The attenuator is powered by 4 AAA batteries (not included). When you get your attenuator, remove the 4 button screws on the plain side compartment with the supplied allen wrench (see photos), install your batteries and then reassemble. Be mindful not to over tighten the button head screws or you will strip the plastic. Battery run time will vary depending on type of battery, alkaline, rechargeable etc. and level/consistency of use. I have successfully gotten 5+ hours of continuous use during testing without issue. On the back on the attenuator is a belt clip, that can be unscrewed and mounted from either direction horizontally or vertically. However, the attenuator is designed to be worn on the left should strap of your alice frame with the cable running up and over the top of the back. On the end of the cable you will see a magnet embedded into the cable end with a separate magnet that you can hot glue or super glue to anywhere on your pack. See photos for suggestions of how I run it on my pack.

Please remember, this is a hand built prop and is 3D printed in PLA plastic, there will be some imprecations and variations from attenuator to attenuator due to the custom built process. Exposure to extreme temperatures or left in hot cars for long periods of time can cause issues with plastics and warping.
Please allow time for building, assembly and shipping. While I do have plenty of parts on hand to build these attenuators, each one is built to order at the time of order with available parts on hand.
Thank you!
